It was foretold that a merger would be formed in the powersport retail industry that would rock the world. Today, that merger has been formed and the world is about to be rocked! Reported on ATV Info, Polaris announced that Progressive Insurance would be their new preferred insurance provider. News has since spread and the dawn of a new alliance is upon us.
On the serious side, this news stands to strengthen the popularity of both Polaris and Progressive, who agreed to work together in making insurance affordable for Polaris consumers. Since Progressive is one of the leading insurance providers in the country and Polaris is currently the reining leader in the powersport industry, it seems like a fitting fit for both. Progressive has geared their services for the Polaris specific, in hopes of making affordable insurance policies, but also aiding customers with various specific features and services (such as disappearing deductibles).
This new-found partnership between the two companies seems like a good move by both parties. Seeing as the powersports market is a recreation based market, allying with an insurance company like Progressive allows those who may be on the fence or have tight constraints on their income to easily acquire insurance at a good price. Since this will bring new customers to Progressive in the process, it is as they say a slam dunk, win/win scenario.
