It was reported in the Freeport News this week that actor/producer Tyler Perry’s boat was stolen in Nassau, Bahamas. While there is little information as to what exactly happened, it is known that Perry was in Nassau scouting possible locations for a film. For his fans, you’ll know that he shot “Why Did I Get Married Too” in the Bahamas. For the rest, you may know Perry for his cross-dressing counterpart, Medea. The actor is said to have confirmed the theft of his boat on Twitter and Facebook. While there are no true leads to go on, police are asking that if anyone spots the vessel to contact their local police station.
It has been nearly a week since the theft and still no sign of the sleek and speedy power boat. One thing is for sure, this has not effected Perry’s work. He recently celebrated the premiere of his new show, For Better or Worst. Still, one can’t help but feel this may tarnish Perry’s publicly known adore for the bright and beautiful Bahamas. If not, than at least leave a bitter taste to his tongue over it. For now, the whereabouts of the boat remains unknown and Tyler Perry continues to do what he does best. Be Tyler Perry.
